Now in its 8th year, River to the Rails 2012 will celebrate the art, music, and food of the Mississippi Delta in historic downtown Greenwood, Mississippi on May 4 & 5!

Four live bands will light up the River to the Rails stage on Friday night as grills heat up at the ‘Que on the Yazoo BBQ contest. Saturday will feature River to the Rails’ first ever juried art competition, along with art and food vendors, the season opening of the Downtown Greenwood Farmers’ Market, the Howard Street Pet Parade, and art and food related activities for children of all ages!

The free festival starts at 5 pm on Friday afternoon and at 9 am on Saturday morning. Winners in the ‘Que on the Yazoo BBQ contest and the River to the Rails juried art competition will be announced at 3:30 pm on Saturday.
